About The Position

Join a medical team where the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner assists in the process of evaluating patients. Responsible for psychiatric assessments for inpatient or outpatient populations and consults with the physician regarding treatment recommendations and referrals. Opportunities to work with various patient populations including children, adolescents, adults, military, and detox/transition patients.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or APRN.
• Completion of a post graduate program for psychiatric mental health nursing.
• Preferably two or more years experience within a psychiatric setting.
• A minimum of two (2) years experience in working with in an inpatient setting is preferred.
• Licensed to practice in the State of Mississippi as a Nurse Practitioner or APRN.
• If medication privileges are exercised, prescriptive authority from the Board of Medical Examiners is required.
