Responsible for psychiatric assessments for inpatient or outpatient populations and consults with the physician regarding treatment recommendations and referrals. Requirements
- Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or APRN and completion of a post graduate program for psychiatric mental health nursing.
- Preferably two or more years experience within a psychiatric setting.
- A minimum of two (2) years experience in working with in an inpatient setting is preferred.
- Licensed to practice in the State of Mississippi as a Nurse Practitioner or APRN.
- If medication privileges are exercised, prescriptive authority from the Board of Medical Examiners is required.
