Virtual Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for Consult (PMHNP)(On Call 7 days a week) 10PM-7AM

As a Nurse Practitioner for Consult Service, you will work for Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital in partnership with Silver Cross. This position works to serve the mental healthcare needs of medically admitted patients at Silver Cross. You will coordinate decision-making with the psychiatrist, perform clinical assessments, and develop treatment plans. Our team includes psychiatrists, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, mental health technicians, social workers, therapists, and educators. We are looking for someone who can perform high quality and a patient-centered approach to care, recognize their own limitations and reach out to the attending psychiatrist for help. Requirements
- Completion of a Master’s Program (Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner) from an accredited nursing school.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the State of Illinois.
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in a psychiatric setting.
- Comprehensive liability insurance.
Responsibilities
- Prescribing pharmacologic interventions as necessary.
- Reviewing laboratory and diagnostic test results.
- Consulting with attending psychiatrists and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to perform clinical assessments, adhering to psychiatric and medical nursing procedures.
- Communicating with patients, families, and others to obtain required information.
- Responding to Provider within sixty (60) minutes.
- Completing Medical Screen Exams (MSE).
- Submitting patient information daily to the CEO for the previous day worked.
