Psychiatric & Mental Health Technician (Behavioral Health Technician) - MHT 25-34679 Job Title: Psychiatric & Mental Health Technician (Behavioral Health Technician) Location: Syracuse, NY Assignment Details Unit: Children & Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatric Unit Duration: 13-Week Contract Shift: Night Shift Schedule: 80 hours bi-weekly 4 × 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) 4 × 8-hour shifts (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Holidays: As needed Compensation Local Pay Rate: $30/hour Contract Package (Travel): Gross Weekly Pay: $1,512/week W2 Rate: $17/hour Weekly Stipend: $875/week Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience required (2 years preferred) Psychiatric experience required Pediatric experience preferred Inpatient setting experience preferred CPR certification required EMR experience required Strong communication and interpersonal skills Job Responsibilities Provide direct and indirect patient care under nursing supervision Obtain and document vital signs and admission information Collect specimens as required Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), hygiene, and transport Perform safety checks and assist with crisis intervention Engage patients therapeutically to support treatment goals Monitor and record intake and output accurately Observe, report, and document changes in patient condition Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic care environment.
