Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Annual Salary: $125,000 + $10,000 sign-on bonus Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Join the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board as a full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). This position will provide medication assisted treatment (MAT) services in the cities of Hampton and Newport News as part of our Mobile Outreach Unit. Make a difference as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner provides the opportunity to enhance the care of individuals facing substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. In this vital role, you will conduct comprehensive medical evaluations and manage treatment, including providing education, supportive counseling, crisis assessments, diagnosis, and treatment referrals. As a Psychiatric Nurse Mental Health Practitioner, you will utilize your expertise to prescribe evidence-based medications for opioid use disorders (MOUD) while ensuring ongoing monitoring and medication management. You will be instrumental in our innovative Outreach Mobile unit, expanding access to opioid treatment services for clients unable to visit our clinic. Additionally, you will serve as the project coordinator, providing medical oversight to a multi-disciplinary team and fostering collaboration as you travel to diverse locations, delivering essential care to those in need. Requirements

  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license with Psychiatric Nurse/Mental Health Practitioner specialty
  • One year of experience working with individuals living with mental illness and/or substance use disorders
