Requirements

Active New York State PMHNP license
Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Eligible for and able to obtain DEA registration
Experience working with adult psychiatric populations preferred
Open to new graduates with prior psychiatric RN experience
Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-based, community mental health setting

Responsibilities

Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations for adult patients (primarily ages 18+)
Manage and monitor a monthly caseload of approximately 34 patients
Provide psychiatric care as part of an ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) team
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient stability and treatment goals
Document all clinical encounters accurately using the Foothold Awards EMR system
Participate in team meetings twice per week at the Manhattan location
Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a shelter-based setting
