Ally Psychiatry | Sylacauga, AL Ally Psychiatry is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team in Sylacauga, Alabama. This is a full-time, inpatient position based at Coosa Valley Medical Center, offering a supportive environment and meaningful clinical work. Requirements

  • Board Certified PMHNP
  • Active or eligible Alabama license
  • Strong clinical and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in an inpatient setting
  • Must possess a minimum of a Master of Science in Nursing.
  • Those six years are composed of a 4-year undergraduate nursing program followed by a 2-year nurse practitioner master's program that includes psychiatric nursing.
  • Must have or pursuing a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
  • Prior experience in providing mental health counseling services within a clinical setting
  • Must possess a State License to practice Nursing and it must be in good standing.
  • Must possess the knowledge base in health promotion maintenance, advanced pathophysiology, advanced health assessment and pharmacology for advanced practice nurses.
  • Must possess the following concepts: individual and family psychotherapy, psychiatric-mental health nursing across the lifespan, advanced assessment in psychiatric-mental health nursing and psychopharmacology.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Participate in treatment planning and patient care coordination
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
  • Participation in a shared call rotation
