About The Position
St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, MA is seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our behavioral health team on a PRN/as‑needed basis. Requirements
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current Massachusetts APRN license with prescriptive authority.
- Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP‑BC).
- Minimum 1–2 years of psychiatric clinical experience preferred; inpatient experience strongly valued.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and clinical decision‑making skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
- Must be currently licensed, certified or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy.
- RNP License.
- Additional certification(s) per governing board.
- Additional certification(s) per governing board and in accordance with the facility Medical Staff Bylaws.

Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for adult behavioral health patients.
- Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, therapists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Document clinical findings, treatment plans, and follow‑up care in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Deliver crisis intervention and support as needed in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
- Provide coverage on a PRN basis, including potential weekends, evenings, or holidays depending on department needs.
