About The Position

The Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) will provide comprehensive mental health care to adult clients in the PHP and IOP programs at Arizona Care Continuum. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating mental health and substance use disorders in an outpatient setting, ensuring compassionate care and effective patient management.

Requirements

• Board certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
• Experience working in outpatient settings, particularly in PHP and IOP programs.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Commitment to providing compassionate care while adhering to infection control protocols.

Nice To Haves

• Dually certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
• Experience in substance use treatment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Provide psychotherapy and medication management to patients with mental health disorders.
• Conduct follow-ups with patients to monitor progress.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care effectively.
