Psychiatric LPN
About The Position
Clarity Wellness Community is a progressive not-for-profit organization providing behavioral health services in Allegany and Wyoming counties. Clarity's mission is to empower people with care, connections and support for a lifetime of choice. We are currently seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Wellsville, NY clinic to support children, adults, or families on their path to wellness. LPNs play a key role in the recovery process as they are a liaison between providers, clinicians and the individual being supported by the program. A few of these responsibilities include:
Requirements
- Must have a NYS license as an LPN with at least 2 years' experience
- Experience in a psychiatric setting is strongly preferred
- Strong computer abilities and proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Administer IM injections as ordered by the prescriber and as assigned by supervisor.
- Monitoring and completing prescription refill requests
- Provide nursing support to psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners
- Communication and coordination with other service providers and natural community supports
- Monitoring lab requests and returns
- Monitoring prescription requests
- Complete prior authorizations
- Act as a liaison between prescribers and pharmacists
