About The Position

Psychiatric Caseworkers monitor the treatment and progress of mentally ill or developmentally disabled clients, perform day treatment and psychosocial rehabilitation activities, and coordinate discharge and aftercare services, in an outpatient, inpatient, clinic, residential, treatment center, client's home and other community settings. The Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) is recruiting for a Psychiatric Caseworker 1 underfilling for a Psychiatric Caseworker 2 with the Wraparound in Nevada (WIN) Program in Reno. This position serves as the Family Engagement Specialist. Family Engagement Specialists are responsible for the review and screenings of children and youth who are referred to WIN. Incumbents will review and process all incoming referrals to ensure required clinical information has been provided and must possess the ability to collaborate with community and system partners to ensure any missing or required information is obtained in a timely manner. The Family Engagement Specialist is responsible for meeting with the youth and their family to gather pertinent information and must be able to complete all accompanying assessments to determine the level of care coordination that may best support their needs.
