About The Position

InGenesis is currently seeking a Psychiatric Attendant to work with our client. In this role, you will provide safety, support, and daily care for forensic patients in a secure mental health unit. This role helps maintain a safe environment, assists patients with daily living needs, and supports treatment activities under the supervision of clinical staff.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Current BLS or appropriate Cardiac Life Support
Ability to recognize and respond to unsafe or unusual conditions.

Responsibilities

Ensure patient safety and monitor behavior.
Assist during crises, including helping manage unsafe behavior or applying restraints.
Search clothing, rooms, and common areas for safety concerns.
Help prevent elopements and monitor patients in seclusion.
Assist patients with daily living tasks such as hygiene, grooming, dressing, and eating.
Prepare patients to attend psychiatric or medical treatment.
Perform basic cleaning tasks to maintain a safe environment.
Document important behaviors and complete required reports.
Maintain communication logs and help with supply management.
Participate in staff meetings, team discussions and attend required trainings.
Respond to emergencies (e.g., fire, disturbances).
Perform other duties as assigned.
