About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position at Compass Intervention Center is a temporary full-time role focused on providing professional nursing care in a psychiatric setting. Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• One year of prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing preferred.
• Licensure and registration by the Tennessee Board of Nurse Examiners as a registered nurse.
• Knowledge of effective teaching skills and educational strategies with a special education population.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care on a designated unit in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of Compass Intervention Center.
• Create a safe environment for clients and provide direct supervision.
• Empower clients and teach them new coping tools.
• Coordinate and delegate nursing care utilizing the nursing process integrated into the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care.
• Accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis.
