Requirements

• Master's Degree in Nursing.
• Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Georgia.
• Current licensure as a Registered Advanced Practice in the State of Georgia.

Nice To Haves

• Experience performing consultation/liaison psychiatry.
• 1 year post-Masters experience working as a nurse practitioner (2 years post is ideal).

Responsibilities

• Perform history and physical examinations.
• Carry out appropriate intervention/procedures as determined by the plan of care.
• Coordinate care of assigned patients according to Northside Hospital established Standards of Care.
• Provide and promote the best interests of the health and well being of patients.
• Perform psychiatric evaluations and formulate comprehensive treatment plans.
• Order appropriate psychotropic medications.
• Communicate findings/recommendations with other medical teams.
