About The Position
East Liverpool City Hospital, a member of the Prime Healthcare Foundation, is an award-winning community hospital serving the tristate region since 1905. With 152 licensed beds and over 500 employees, the hospital handles approximately 31,000 Emergency Department visits annually. Its medical staff includes more than 160 physicians and 21 resident physicians. The hospital offers 24/7 emergency services, general surgery, medical stabilization for substance abuse, behavioral health for adults over 55, and the only cardiac rehabilitation program in Columbiana County. The Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Psychiatric Technician provides direct and indirect patient care services, utilizing technical and manual skills within their scope of practice, to address the psychosocial, physical, and general care aspects, as well as communication needs of patients and their families. This role operates under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse and requires knowledge of EMTALA Regulations and the triage process in the ER setting.
Requirements
- Current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
Responsibilities
- Provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care, and meets the communication needs of the patient and family
- Performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrates knowledge of EMTALA Regulations and triage process in the ER setting
