The Therapist Psych ED I works under the supervision of the Clinical Services Manager to provide quality therapeutic services for patients and their families including individual, family, and group therapy, assessment, conducts preadmission screening evaluations, treatment planning, safety planning as part of discharge planning, coordination of placement in appropriate level of care, and documentation, in order to reduce or eliminate psychological, behavioral, or chemical dependency problems that necessitated admission. Actively performs as a member of an interdisciplinary team and demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide clinical care appropriate to the age of the patient or resident served. This role involves accurately assessing biopsychosocial functioning, providing quality and clinically sound individual, family, and group therapy interventions, serving as the point of contact for family members, collaborating as an active member of the interdisciplinary team, completing individualized and thorough medical record documentation, coordinating referral processes, maximizing use of clinical supervision, establishing and maintaining solid relationships with referral sources, and completing preadmission screening evaluations.
