About The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for providing assistance to residents in the Memory Care Program with their activities of daily living, enabling them to lead a quality life while maintaining their dignity. You will work from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, with every other weekend required. Your primary focus will be on providing kind, caring, and consistent companionship and support to residents, ensuring they receive the assistance and encouragement needed to be as independent as possible in their daily activities.

Requirements

• PSS/CNA certification required.
• Experience working with seniors with dementia preferred.
• Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties and communicate effectively.
• CNA or CHHA license may be required depending on the state.
• Basic computer skills; proficiency with Outlook, Excel, and Word is required.
• Compassionate, kind, engaging, and helpful demeanor.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Provide kind, caring, and consistent companionship and support to residents.
• Assist Memory Care residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
• Participate in and lead one-on-one and group activities.
• Serve residents during mealtime and assist with memory care laundry and basic housekeeping within the memory care neighborhood.
• Ensure that resident/family/employee concerns receive timely response and follow up, striving to provide a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors, and co-workers.
