About The Position

The PSM Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the facility's process safety management program in accordance with Kraft Heinz's corporate ammonia refrigeration management program. This role involves managing the Management of Change (MOC) process, ensuring compliance with safety audits, and providing leadership in establishing and implementing safety initiatives across all shifts.

Requirements

  • Proficient with Word and Excel software applications.
  • AutoCAD experience is helpful.
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
  • A minimum of five years working experience with ammonia refrigeration systems and associated PSM requirements is preferred.
  • Working and technical knowledge of refrigeration and maintenance systems, equipment installation/startups, and plant utility equipment is preferred.
  • Experience working with vendors and contractors is preferred.
  • Knowledgeable of company safety policies and procedures.
  • Good interpersonal and team skills to function as a team member and leader.
  • Good organizational skills, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and possess good leadership skills.

  • Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems.
  • Familiarity with safety policies and procedures in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Management of Change (MOC) process.
  • Coordinate and ensure all Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) are performed as required.
  • Ensure the PSM program is always audit ready.
  • Hold and document monthly PSM team meetings with meeting minutes.
  • Participate in a 3-year PSM Compliance Audit at another facility at least once every three years.
  • Document follow-up tracking on all PHA recommendations to closure.
  • Document follow-up tracking on all Compliance Audit exceptions and corrective actions.
  • Schedule and coordinate quarterly updates to the facility manager and affected employees on all PHA open items.
  • Schedule and coordinate quarterly updates on all Compliance Audit open exceptions and recommendations.
  • Schedule and coordinate quarterly updates on all Mechanical Integrity Inspection open defects.
  • Assist facility ORM in managing the Hot Work Program and Emergency Action Plan.
  • Write and revise proper preventative maintenance procedures for all ammonia equipment.
  • Ensure operating procedures for ammonia equipment are current, accurate, and certified annually.
  • Assist in environmental issues related to the Ammonia Refrigeration System.
  • Provide PSM leadership across all shifts in establishing, organizing, planning, and implementing the PSM program.
  • Ensure Refrigeration Operators are trained and training is documented according to site-specific training requirements.
  • Revise the facility PSM program according to Kraft Heinz Corporate PSM Team revisions.
  • Ensure appropriate PSM documentation and procedures are followed on all ammonia projects.
  • Coordinate ammonia best practices across the plant and facilitate continuous improvement in the Utility group.
  • Participate in monthly Corporate PSM Coordinator conference calls.
  • Attend the annual Kraft Heinz Ammonia Safety & Best Practices Workshop.
  • Network with the Kraft Heinz PSM Team to remain aligned and up to date on information.
