About The Position
The PSL Production Supervisor at American Fuji Seal is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Pre-Press and Printing Departments to ensure quality production. This role involves providing technical support by developing, documenting, implementing, and monitoring the production process. The supervisor will direct department employees to meet the needs of the AFS printing business, ensuring that all employees are kept current on process and procedural changes. The supervisor will also provide support to all personnel to achieve division goals, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. In this position, the supervisor will manage, control, and direct the day-to-day operations, activities, and personnel within the division. It is essential to address and resolve all quality and production issues promptly. The supervisor will collaborate with suppliers, customers, and sales staff to ensure smooth operations and effective communication. Developing and implementing methods and procedures for process control, improvement, testing, and inspection is crucial to ensure that products are free of flaws and function as designed. Additionally, the supervisor will assist with analyzing customer and internal quality issues and participate in product trials, focusing on new product development. Scheduling manufacturing equipment to optimize efficiencies while maintaining quality control is another key responsibility. The supervisor will work closely with Customer Service to effectively process customer orders, ensuring that orders are shipped accurately and in a timely manner. Maintaining housekeeping and cleanliness of the production floor, as well as ensuring machinery efficiency through preventive maintenance, are also part of the role. Accurate reporting of production data and activities, along with maintaining positive employee morale and operating within the department budget, are essential functions of this position.
