About The Position

This position represents registered or registry-eligible polysomnographic technologists with a complete and thorough understanding of all processes and procedures related to sleep diagnostics. Patient testing and record scoring are the main functions of this position. Registered Polysomnographic technologists will aide in decision processes as they relate from patient to patient and working with non-registered PSGs, trainees and students.

Requirements

• RPSGT by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists is preferred upon hire.
• Certification of BLS is preferred for hire processes while mandatory upon completion of the provisional period.
• High school degree / GED is required.
• Must be registered through the BRPT or be 'registry-eligible' by meeting specific criteria.

Nice To Haves

• 18 months full-time work/educational experience in polysomnographic technology.
• Current certification in respiratory therapy by the NBRC.
• Completion of a CAAHEP accredited Sleep Technologist or END program.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient testing and record scoring related to sleep diagnostics.
• Assist in decision-making processes for patient care.
• Work collaboratively with non-registered PSGs, trainees, and students.
