About The Position

The University of South Florida Department of Plastic Surgery Microsurgery fellowship offers a broad and well-rounded one-year microsurgical training experience. Training will occur at our two major teaching institutions, Tampa General Hospital which is the region’s only level one trauma center and The Moffitt Cancer. Our case variety includes breast reconstruction, extremity salvage, sarcoma & cutaneous cancer reconstruction, maxillofacial trauma, complex scalp reconstruction, facial reanimation, lymphatic reconstruction, and gender affirming care. While microsurgical techniques are a primary focus, fellows will also be able to participate in all manners of complex reconstruction to optimize their clinical decision-making capacity. Our program seeks to foster a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care, ensuring fellows are proficient in both clinical and academic aspects of microsurgery. The overall goal is to provide fellows with the tools and experience necessary to conquer all manners of reconstructive challenges.
