About The Position

Assist the Facility Maintenance Operations Director and AVP of Facility Maintenance Operations with maintenance of all Road to Responsibility, Inc. properties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Maintain building repairs as directed. Comply with town, state, fire and safety codes. Perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical and landscape tasks. Drive company vehicles including, box truck, vans and pull trailer. Deliver, swap and transport vehicles. Donation pick-ups. Move furniture. Maintain safety and access/egress of buildings (snow/ice removal, etc.). Prepare for company meetings, events and fundraisers. Participate in on-the-job training and provide coaching to new co-workers as directed. Attend all required meetings. Adhere to agency safety standards. Perform additional duties, or substitute for others as required. Adhere to all RTR policies and procedures. Develop and provide all services in accordance with RTR’s philosophies including staff and Board beliefs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to work independently and flexibly with others.
  • Must have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a calm, collegial and assertive manner with people from all walks of life.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Maintain a Valid Driver’s License.
  • Successful completion of all state and agency mandated trainings.
  • Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
  • Must be fluent in English and have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.
