About The Position

Under general oversight of the Manager of Credentialing and Compliance, the Credentialing & Alternative Certification Team Lead will be responsible for spearheading all alternative certification functions and external partnerships. This position will be instrumental in developing projects and initiatives to help meet the goals of the alternative certification team. Will lead, coach, and develop a team to achieve high performance, engagement, and operational goals. Additionally, will be assigned a portfolio of schools that the Team Lead will be responsible for carrying out all the credentialing functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HRIS systems, preferably Oracle
  • Attentive to detail.
  • Ability to automate routines to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Capability to coordinate multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively as a member of a team or independently.
  • Work with sensitivity with confidential information on a continuous basis.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, and support to ensure team effectiveness and accountability.
  • Lead all alternative certification team functions, establishing standard operating procedures and departmental goals aligned with broader People Services objectives to ensure role clarity and operational excellence.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for external partners; lead the negotiation and development of memorandums of understanding to secure favorable terms, program costs, and sustainable growth.
  • Manage the CRM, inclusive of recommending enhancements and/or functionality to ensure effective tracking for both external partnership program participants as well as internal participants.
  • Analyze and interpret data to inform decision-making, monitor program effectiveness, and provide clear, accurate reporting on outcomes and performance to leadership.
  • Conduct regular assessments of program effectiveness to drive continuous improvement that will enhance program outcomes and participant success.
  • Perform the credentialing tasks and provide guidance on credentialing related matters to leadership, teachers, and support staff for assigned portfolio of schools.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school employees, administrative agencies, and Service Center teams.
  • Research and interpret contracts, guidelines, policies, laws, and rules related to applicable laws.
  • Remain current on existing credentialing, alternative certification, and teacher testing requirements and remain abreast of any legislative changes.
  • Conduct administrative tasks, such as paperwork collection, accurate completion of forms, and data entry.
  • Oversee data entry and collection verifying accuracy and timeliness.
  • Travel required to attend conferences, support school initiatives, and provide training opportunities, as applicable.
