About The Position

The Home Health Aide position at La Victoria Adult Day involves providing essential personal care and support to clients in a home setting. The role focuses on assisting clients with daily living activities, monitoring their health, and maintaining accurate records of their care. This position is open to individuals with no prior experience, as on-the-job training will be provided.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older per policy.
• Must submit to a background check.
• Standard Class C Driver's License is required to complete assigned job tasks.
• English required (Spanish is a plus) to communicate with clients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Administer personal care, such as ambulation or personal hygiene assistance.
• Prepare and maintain records of client progress and services performed, reporting changes in client condition to manager or supervisor.
• Perform healthcare-related tasks, such as monitoring vital signs and medication.
• Participate in case reviews, consulting with the team caring for the client, to evaluate the client's needs and plan for continuing services.
• Instruct or advise clients on issues such as household cleanliness, utilities, hygiene, nutrition, or infant care.
• Provide clients with communication assistance, typing their correspondence or obtaining information for them.
• Assist with administering food to clients as necessary.
