Our clinical practice provides specialized psychiatric care to clients various behavioral health settings to include residential treatment facilities and intensive outpatient programs. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Provider Support Specialist and Scheduler to join our team and facilitate seamless consultations/appointments for patients needing psychiatric support. The Provider Support Specialist and Scheduler will play a critical role in scheduling psychiatric consultations between our providers and clients in various behavioral health treatment settings. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a basic understanding of technology to ensure smooth coordination between our clinical team and the telehealth platform that is used by clients.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in scheduling, customer service, or administrative support in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with telehealth platforms or video conferencing tools.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, with a professional and empathetic phone manner.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare setting.
  • Must have experience using various programs such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office and Zoom.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with medical or psychiatric terminology, or prior healthcare experience, is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule Consultations: Answer calls from clients and staff to arrange psychiatric consults for patients in various behavioral health settings.
  • Telehealth Setup: Ensure the provider and clinic are properly connected on the telehealth platform before each scheduled appointment.
  • Tech Support: Provide basic troubleshooting assistance for telehealth software to resolve any connectivity issues before or during consultations.
  • Maintain Scheduling Records: Accurately track and update patient appointments, ensuring proper documentation of all scheduled consultations.
  • Coordinate with Clinical Team: Work closely with providers, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure timely and effective telehealth experiences for patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Communication: Promptly communicate any changes, updates, or technical issues to both the clinical team and patients.
