About The Position

The Relief Provider for our Shared Living Program works as part of a team to provide direct supports, guidance, education, advocacy and supervision for individuals with developmental and cognitive disabilities. The Shared Living Provider Relief works with the Shared Living Provider and individual in the home to provide direct physical supports and maintain their physical and emotional health. Interaction between the Shared Living Provider Relief staff and individual will reflect an appreciation of each individual's uniqueness.

Requirements

• Experience working with individuals with developmental and cognitive disabilities.
• Ability to provide physical support and assistance as needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a caregiving or support role.
• Training in first aid or CPR.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supports and guidance to individuals with developmental and cognitive disabilities.
• Advocate for the needs and rights of individuals in the Shared Living Program.
• Supervise and assist individuals in maintaining their physical and emotional health.
• Work collaboratively with the Shared Living Provider to ensure quality care.
