Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute is seeking a Full Time, Provider Support Access Specialist to join our team! Position Summary: Responsible for the patient experience as it relates to the administrative process, from start to finish. Point of contact for internal team members, external vendors/organizations, and patients. This position will play a key role in streamlining workflow to ensure efficient scheduling for consultations, testing, procedures and follow-up appointments. Ensures excellent patient experience, maximize reimbursement, minimize time from referral to procedure, and aid in positive outcomes.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years relevant experience, including knowledge of scheduling, registration, patient billing, and medical terminology required.
• Demonstrates proficiency with data entry/keyboarding.

Nice To Haves

• Associate Degree preferred
• Minimum of three years’ experience as surgery scheduler preferred.
