About The Position

Parkview Physicians Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our practice that employs excellent diplomatic communication skills. Serves as primary resource for planning, coordinating, and facilitating provider simulation and ongoing educational needs, throughout Parkview Health and external customers of Parkview Health. Responsible for the planning, coordinating, and facilitating education initiatives in support of the Parkview Health mission, vision, and strategies with consideration of adult learning principles in program development and presentation. Supports the needs of the health system and prepares to continue meeting those needs in a supporting role in the future. Evaluates the needs of each service line for provider professional development opportunities and works with the service line leaders to plan and execute professional development and/or simulation-based education opportunities. Collaborates with the graduate medical education department and faculty to serve as support for any resident or faculty development needs. Serves as a role model and advocate for performance improvement in collaboration with co-workers, throughout Parkview Health and external customers. Oversees designs and implements simulation-based activities for internal and external customers to determine 1) objectives for the simulation; 2) ability of the simulation lab to fulfill the objectives; 3) site for the simulation (mobile or in simulation lab); 4) necessary equipment; and 5) scheduling participants in terms of time of event, participants per event, and frequency of the event.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Master of Science in Nursing program (DNP optional) or Physician Assistant program.
  • Current or pending state license for Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant.
  • Current or pending certification by an approved professional certification organization.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant preferred.
