The Provider Service Specialist develops close working relationships with child care providers. Conducts on-site technical assistance and training visits. Promotes and Supports new and existing Texas Rising Star providers through the distribution of child development resources. Tracks inclusion plans for providers caring for children with disabilities. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree preferred or equivalent education from two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least one (1) year of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate, up‑to‑date paperwork for all provider records within required Texas Workforce Commission and Board timelines.
  • Update and maintain information in The Workforce Information System of Texas (TWIST).
  • Conduct monitoring of providers to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and provide technical assistance as needed.
  • Conduct follow‑up visits on service improvement agreements to verify corrective action and compliance.
  • Follow unit procedures and participate in meetings, trainings, and other activities to improve understanding of the ETWDB system and operational requirements.
  • Work closely with the Supervisor to track inclusion plans for providers serving children with disabilities.
  • Resolve provider contract issues and collaborate effectively with management staff, account representatives, and intake eligibility specialists to address provider concerns.
  • Ensure all provider files contain required documentation, including service agreements, tax forms, deposit forms, and state licenses.
  • Collaborate with CCS team members to enhance overall program operations and service delivery.
  • Identify, document, and communicate process improvement opportunities to strengthen program effectiveness.
