About The Position

Leidos Health and Services Sector currently has an opening for a Provider Relations Specialist to work remotely. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Military OneSource mission. The Military OneSource Program provides 24/7 support services for military members and their families, similar to a commercial Employee Assistance Program (EAP). This program provides a broad array of information, resources, education, referrals, and counseling to about 4.7 million participants which includes military service members, their families, and eligible civilians at locations worldwide. The Military OneSource program serves as a “one source” for resource and information encompassing a comprehensive support system. The Provider Relations Specialist serves as a central point of contact for a large network of behavioral health counselors, providing real-time administrative and operational support to ensure consistent, compliant, and high-quality service delivery. This role is responsible for assisting counselors with administrative, procedural, and documentation-related inquiries, enabling them to effectively complete assigned tasks, maintain accurate records, and meet program requirements. The position plays a critical role in enhancing provider experience, reducing administrative burden, and ensuring alignment with program standards and timelines.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Behavioral Health, Social Work, Psychology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience providing admin support to behavioral health programs, provider networks, or healthcare personnel
  • Familiarity with professional health documentation, case management processes, and standards in behavioral health settings.
  • Experience working with provider support, non-technical help desk functions, or customer service in a healthcare environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain processes clearly to diverse audiences.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple inquiries in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency within provider portals, and standard office software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a high level of professionalism and responsiveness.
  • U.S. citizenship and fluency in English required.
  • Ability to successfully pass criminal history, fingerprint background checks, and credential verification required.
  • Ability to maintain and retain suitability investigation and clearance as required.
  • Proficient in navigating electronic systems, computer programs, and virtual service platforms.
  • This position requires a separate, quiet, private, confidential space to work from, as well as having access to your own reliable high-speed internet hard wired to your home (coax or fiber from the Internet Service Provider (ISP) to your home.) Using a hot spot from a mobile device (tethering) or wireless ISP is not acceptable.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary support resource for counselors across the provider network, responding to inquiries related to workflows, documentation, and program processes.
  • Provide guidance on completing required paperwork, including case documentation, encounter notes, and administrative forms in accordance with program standards.
  • Assist counselors with submission processes, including After Action Reports (AARs), service documentation, and other required deliverables.
  • Support providers in understanding procedures and processes to ensure timely and accurate report submissions.
  • Monitor common inquiries and trends to identify gaps in information; recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership, operations, and administrative teams to ensure consistent communication and guidance to the provider network.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of program policies, compliance requirements, and operational procedures.
  • Develop and maintain reference materials, FAQs, and job aids to support counselors in navigating program requirements.
  • Ensure timely, professional, and customer-focused communication with all providers.
