About The Position
As a Provider Performance Improvement Specialist at McKinsey & Company, you will be an integral part of the Provider Performance Improvement (PPI) team within the Healthcare Systems & Services practice. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about enhancing the quality of care in hospitals while also improving cost-effectiveness. You will be based in one of our North American offices and will work closely with hospital executives to address their most pressing business challenges, such as improving customer satisfaction, managing complex supply chains, and attracting top talent. Your expertise will help guide hospitals through operational improvements and organizational enhancements that are essential for sustaining high-quality care. In this position, you will engage directly with front-line client teams, leveraging your healthcare expertise and operational experience to implement strategies that enhance clinical operations, procurement, and workforce management. You will take ownership of client relationships, facilitating discussions that lead to actionable insights and long-term implementation projects. For instance, if you are involved in a procurement project, your clinical or process expertise will be crucial in advising clients on clinical equivalency, utilization management, and cost reduction opportunities. Your role will also involve delivering comprehensive analyses that inform problem-solving processes, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for client teams. This will require a deep understanding of healthcare analytics and a commitment to driving value capture for our clients. The position demands a high level of professionalism, entrepreneurship, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment, often on-site with clients. You will also need to be comfortable with travel to client locations as required, ensuring that you can provide hands-on support and guidance throughout the change management process.
