About The Position

The Provider Onboarding Coordinator at AdventHealth is responsible for managing the onboarding process for new employed or contracted providers. This role involves facilitating credentialing, coordinating orientation and training, and ensuring effective communication with various departments regarding the onboarding status of providers. The Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring that all necessary steps are completed efficiently and timely, contributing to the overall success of the onboarding process.

Requirements

• High School Diploma and one year of business experience required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in a medical environment and/or business setting.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the credentialing process for new providers within 30 days of signed Letter of Intent (LOI).
• Coordinate orientation and training for new providers.
• Communicate updates on provider onboarding statuses to impacted departments.
• Assist with processes related to practice closures, relocations, and provider separations.
• Collect and input provider documents into the Data Credentialing System (MSOW).
• Provide credentialing information and instructions to providers immediately following signed LOI.
• Oversee Medical Staff Credentialing process for multiple campuses.
• Conduct HR processing including benefit enrollment and employment verification.
• Notify applicable departments of impending provider start dates.
• Coordinate collection and distribution of provider status related forms.
• Manage recredentialing for existing providers at all campuses.
