The Provider Onboarding Coordinator at AdventHealth Medical Group Central FL is responsible for managing the onboarding process for new employed or contracted providers. This role involves facilitating credentialing, coordinating orientation and training, and ensuring effective communication with various departments regarding provider onboarding statuses. The coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring a smooth transition for new hires and maintaining compliance with credentialing requirements.

  • Facilitate the credentialing process for new providers.
  • Coordinate orientation and training for new hires.
  • Communicate updates on provider onboarding statuses to impacted departments.
  • Assist with processes related to practice closures, relocations, and provider separations.
  • Collect necessary data for Medical Staff, Malpractice, and Managed Care credentialing within 30 days of signed Letter of Intent (LOI).
  • Store and input provider documents into the Data Credentialing System (MSOW).
  • Provide credentialing information and instructions to providers immediately following signed LOI.
  • Oversee Medical Staff Credentialing process for 8 campuses throughout the Central FL Division.
  • Conduct HR processing including benefit enrollment and employment verification.
  • Notify applicable departments of impending provider start dates.
  • Coordinate collection and distribution of provider status related forms.
  • Responsible for recredentialing existing providers at all campuses.
  • Populate templates to request new providers to be added to EMR systems.
  • High School Diploma and one year of business experience required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in a medical environment and/or business setting.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent customer service, time management, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with credentialing processes.
