Provider Manager (NP/PA Licensed)
About The Position
Urgent Care for Kids is dedicated to transforming pediatric healthcare across Texas through equitable, accessible, and high-quality care. We provide in-person urgent care, primary care, and telemedicine services, as well as SchoolMed programs in K–12 schools. Our mission is to deliver exceptional care to every child, every time. We are seeking a Provider Manager (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for our Dallas Fort-Worth market to support, develop, and lead our provider team while remaining clinically active in our urgent care clinics. The Provider Manager is a dual clinical and leadership role designed specifically for licensed Nurse Practitioners (NPs) or Physician Assistants (PAs) . This position combines direct patient care with administrative and leadership responsibilities, including provider scheduling, coaching, reporting, and operational oversight. The Provider Manager will continue to practice clinically in-clinic and via telemedicine to remain closely connected to patients and workflows.
Requirements
- Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing as a licensed NP or PA (pediatric or urgent care experience preferred).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and support provider teams.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a collaborative, motivating approach.
- Strong follow-up, attention to detail, and work ethic.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and guide teams through solutions.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, EMR systems, and internet-based applications.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

- Prior leadership or management experience strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary care services in clinic and via telemedicine.
- Complete timely patient care, progress, and discharge documentation.
- Maintain required clinical logs and compliance documentation.
- Manage provider schedules to ensure appropriate clinic coverage.
- Oversee provider payroll-related activities.
- Support provider recruitment in partnership with Talent Acquisition.
- Assist with provider orientation, onboarding, and ongoing training.
- Coach providers on best practices, quality measures, and performance expectations.
- Collaborate with Medical Leadership and HR to provide feedback and support performance reviews.
- Track key performance metrics and prepare reports as requested.
- Support patient experience initiatives and assist with resolving patient concerns.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Positively represent Goodside Health in community and marketing initiatives.
