About The Position

Provider Engagement Manager Position Objective: The Provider Engagement Manager is responsible for driving system growth by developing and sustaining strategic relationships with targeted referral sources aligned with Luminis Health priorities. Reporting through the Strategic Planning and Business Development team, the incumbent works closely with administrative and physician leaders within LHCE and hospital operations as well as the marketing team. This role executes a structured, field-based engagement strategy that results in measurable increases in referral volume, improved provider satisfaction, and identification and resolution of access, quality, and service barriers. The incumbent shall utilize a well-structured sales strategy to achieve system growth targets and will ensure overall effectiveness by analyzing data and referral patterns. Develops incremental referrals from existing sources, maintains and enhances relationships with top referrers, and generates new referral sources from defined service area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in healthcare or marketing-related subjects.
  • 3 to 5 years' health care industry experience, including working with physicians.
  • Proficiency with MS office software including Word and Excel, as well as customer or market databases.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Must demonstrate success in physician collaboration and business outcomes.
  • Must be able to travel to various customer offices and health system sites.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with internal leaders, Luminis Health-employed and independent, community providers and staff, as well as associated community partners in order to support system strategies and encourage physician engagement. To include, influencing referral patterns, strengthening alignment with Luminis Health services, and supporting achievement of service growth targets.
  • Effectively communicates system strategies to target providers and staff, as well as community partners to maintain and build market share via face-to-face meetings, virtual meetings, phone calls, emails, and text messages.
  • Collaborates other field-based Luminis Health team members to coordinate events, share business intelligence and maximize relationships with targeted physicians
  • Quickly shares feedback on access, quality, and care, as well as relevant business intelligence with leadership, including supervisor and relevant LHCE and/or hospital leadership teams and works with these teams to resolve issues.
  • Identifies opportunities to expand relationships with physicians to advance Luminis Health system goals.
  • Data Analysis: Leverages internal and external market data tools to assess referral trends, identify strategic patterns, and pinpoint key growth targets.
  • Planning: Develops customized target lists for each new provider and/or program(s) based on market dynamics, specialty needs, and strategic priorities. Utilizes these lists to guide outreach activities and to communicate progress with Luminis Health providers and leadership.
  • Reporting: Monitors and reports on outreach activity by capturing both insights and ongoing relationship intelligence. Produces timely updates as new information is gathered and delivers routine monthly reports to inform strategic decision‑making.
