About The Position

The Provider Education Coordinator at Parkview Health is responsible for the development and coordination of educational activities, including undergraduate medical education, continuing medical education, and simulation-based learning. This role involves planning and implementing educational strategies for various departments and professional groups, ensuring alignment with policies and accreditation requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education, business, communication, marketing, organizational development, or a related medical field.
  • Minimum of one year of education coordination experience in a hospital or healthcare-related field.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently using critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support all medical student schedules during the academic year.
  • Serve as a liaison with medical schools to communicate rotation availability.
  • Engage teaching faculty to meet medical student rotation demands.
  • Process medical student requests for rotations in a timely manner.
  • Meet with medical students on their first day of rotation to provide orientation and onboarding.
  • Manage the faculty/resident/student interface to optimize educational experiences for medical students.
  • Schedule formal feedback sessions for faculty and medical students.
  • Ensure completion and return of faculty evaluations at the end of each rotation.
  • Participate in recruitment fairs at medical schools with residency coordinators.
  • Investigate opportunities to enhance Parkview Health's presence at surrounding medical schools.
  • Oversee medical student interactions to optimize recruitment for future residency training.
  • Serve as the primary contact for medical students requesting rotations.
  • Collaboratively develop and coordinate all CME programs.
  • Ensure CME and UME programs meet policies and accreditation requirements.
  • Assist in designing and implementing CME courses and evaluating outcomes to improve patient care.
  • Meet documentation and reporting requirements for each program.
  • Work cooperatively and collaboratively with all concerned parties.
  • Provide exceptional experiences for medical students and PPG physicians.
