As a Prototyping Software Engineer at Apple, you will play a pivotal role in the Wireless Architecture team, contributing to the development of innovative wireless technologies that enhance Apple's product offerings. This position involves inventing and developing new wireless features that could encompass hardware, software, algorithms, and more, aimed at improving devices such as the iPhone, iPad, and Mac. You will be tasked with developing and debugging software and firmware for Proof of Concept (PoC) platforms that operate on iOS or MacOS, ensuring that these prototypes meet the high standards expected of Apple products. Your responsibilities will include engaging in low-level graphics development, defining algorithmic and processing architectures, and working on API and upper-layer development, which includes application and visualization aspects. You will also maintain and expand a real-time data collection, processing, and visualization framework, along with the test executive that automates and manages user test campaigns. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Core Location/Core Motion, Airplay, CoreAudio, Home, VPG, Product RF, and networking, to drive the integration of new wireless capabilities and technologies into Apple's platforms.
