About The Position

As part of the talented Brunswick Boat Group Technology Center team, you will be responsible for supporting the building, testing, manufacturing integration of New Products, Continues Improvement, Special projects At Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years Marine Industry Boat Building Experience required
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing marine assemblies
  • Experience with PC based software (word, excel, data acquisition, OBMS)
  • Demonstrate problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Boating and mechanical background to properly execute duties
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of manufacturing methods and procedures
  • Additional technical training in Mechanical / Electrical fields preferred
  • Fiberglass evaluation and repair abilities to industry and Boston Whaler standards preferred
  • NMMA, ABYC compliance certification training, Marine technical training preferred
  • US Coast Guard safe boating course preferred
  • Boat handling experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assembly and testing of new products
  • Communicating with the engineering department and project managers on prototype concerns, issues
  • Assist in the training of production personnel to ensure a smooth transition of a product from the prototype stage to production integration
  • Support the development and building of necessary tools, and fixtures to support manufacturing assembly and FRP
  • Testing of prototype boats, documenting findings, providing recommendations from findings
  • Must have the ability to read blueprints, provide necessary red lines and insure BOM accuracy
  • Knowledge, skills and hands on ability in a wide variety of assembly related installations to include, mechanical systems, cabinetry, and electrical work
  • Experience in rigging and installing outboard engines, programming, calibration and troubleshooting
  • Must interface well with other employees, departments throughout Boston Whaler, Brunswick organization, outside vendors, dealers, and retail customers
  • Ability to work independently at off-site locations and solve problems that may arise
  • Self starter, high energy individual who can work effectively without supervision
  • Must be committed to quality standards acceptable by Boston Whaler and customer base
  • Ensure work area is maintained clean, orderly and safe
  • Know follow and enforce company policies and procedures
  • Must be willing to work overtime as required to assure timely completion of critical projects
  • Must be willing to travel if necessary
