About The Position

Requirements

• Experience in providing protective service during heightened threats.
• Experience in implementing protective security plans and liaison activities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the security of the Secretary of Education during travel and events.
• Serve as a Personal Protection Specialist, assisting in the development and planning for the Secretary's protection.
• Assist in investigations concerning threats to the Secretary and Deputy Secretary.
• Coordinate liaison activities with federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies regarding personal protective security operations.
• Ensure telecommunication systems are in place for secure communication with the Department of Education and the White House.
