About The Position

Our Global Security Organization is composed of multiple teams that work together to support our operations around the globe. The Protective Intelligence Team is responsible for a wide range of intelligence-related functions, including investigations, risk and threat assessments, travel and event risk evaluations, executive protection support, and the development of operational methodologies. In this role, the manager will lead a global Protective Intelligence team composed of experienced analysts who are experts in their field, overseeing the development, execution, and quality assurance of intelligence and investigations products, while providing briefings and actionable intelligence to key stakeholders. The manager will also direct strategic investigative operations as assigned and support cross-functional internal clients—including headquarters and regional offices—by delivering threat assessments and intelligence services to enhance the safety and security of Meta’s leadership. This position is critical to Meta’s commitment to safeguarding our leaders and supporting the organization’s global security objectives.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in protective intelligence, investigations, risk management, or geopolitical intelligence, with a proven record of success
  • 5+ years of experience managing teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Proven track record of working within a global arena
  • Proven experience in working with highly confidential information
  • Demonstrated experience in completing multiple tasks simultaneously and experience working in a deadline-focused environment with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated expertise in analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven effectiveness in drafting intelligence reports and communication skills and experience in distilling communication based on the target audience
  • Proven track record of building an analytical team from the ground up and leading a team of analysts
  • Highly organized, responsive, and demonstrate a proactive, solutions-oriented approach

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and mentor a global team of experienced protective intelligence analysts assessing threats to Meta leaders
  • Manage investigations
  • Provide guidance to team members regarding the production of threat intelligence reports and assessments for the team’s global mission
  • Conduct Protective Intelligence Briefings to executives and/or stakeholders on threat findings
  • Provide leadership and guidance related to the direction and completion of team projects
  • Provide guidance to team members on the utilization of structured analytic techniques to develop tailored protective intelligence investigations
  • Gather and analyze data to facilitate improvements in the methodologies, tools and techniques to enable the team to scale and optimize operations to mitigate potential risk
  • Develops and drives the strategy and/or roadmap for highly complex issues
  • Appropriately leverage resources, technology, information, and tactics in a manner that protects reputation and minimizes risk
  • Display leadership, organizational and execution skills in engagements across the entire security organization
  • Drive a respectful team environment centered on open communication, sharing, listening, and recognition of team members at all levels
  • Follow company procedures and processes as it relates to Global Security best practices, and handling of confidential information
  • Provide professional development opportunities for team members and develop and implement creative and innovative solutions to allow the team to scale and optimize operations
  • Responsible for managing resources to include global hiring processes, technology, tools and systems management, and annual budget planning and execution
  • Flexible work schedule: ability to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Travel to regional and global offices and events annually (<25%)
  • Leverages expertise, data, and technology to anticipate and adapt to an evolving threat landscape
