About The Position

The Protection Officer position at Holy Cross Health is a full-time role with evening shifts from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., consisting of four 10-hour shifts. The role is crucial for maintaining the security and safety of the hospital and involves being vigilant of suspicious activities and persons. Protection Officers are expected to write reports clearly and legibly and must be available to work all three shifts when needed. The position requires daily patrols and functions without bias or discrimination. Candidates must undergo fingerprinting, FBI and State criminal history checks, and background investigations.

Requirements

• At least a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience as a security officer (4 years).
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Obtain a Maryland Security Guard Card within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of security experience.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the security and safety of the hospital and assigned post during watch.
• Be vigilant of suspicious activities and persons.
• Write reports in a neat and legible manner.
• Perform daily patrols and functions.
• Be available to work all three shifts when needed.
