Perform Detailed Physical Substation Design Work Perform detailed physical substation design work including the preparation of drawings, specifications, among other documents for review and approval by the responsible engineer. Projects range in size, complexity, and voltage class from small distribution equipment upgrades to large transmission projects.

Requirements

• Shall have a minimum of two (2) years of satisfactory experience as a Designer/Drafter.
• Shall have demonstrated leadership and technical capability to perform to job duties and responsibilities.
• Shall have drafting experience, including proficiency in CADD.

Responsibilities

• Physical substation design including yard layouts, plans, sections and details, grounding, lightning protection, control building arrangements, interior and exterior raceways, auxiliary AC/DC power systems, and associated bills of material.
• Perform with a minimum of supervision, a variety of design related duties including, but not limited to: Prepare design and construction drawings of a complex nature with neatness and a minimum of errors.
• Perform design services requiring a full understanding of drawings, specifications, and industry and Company standards covering the assigned work.
• Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations.
