About The Position

ELECTRONICS ENGINEER The position of PDS/TEMPEST Engineer is responsible for conducting PDS design reviews, PDS inspections of Navy facilities, reviewing Navy TEMPEST Requirements Questionnaires (TRQs), and performing TEMPEST inspections and testing of equipment. The role involves ensuring that Navy communication systems and equipment are protected against electromagnetic emissions and comply with TEMPEST requirements. This role will be performed in coordination with a Govt SME.

Requirements

  • Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Electronics Engineer must have:
  • Experience: 2+ years of related experience
  • Must be able to attend government training courses on a 1-time basis for a total of 6 weeks, not be all at once, at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX.
  • Security clearance level: Secret with the potential to go up to TS/SCI
  • US citizenship required
  • Travel: Must be able to travel CONUS and OCONUS at minimum 25% during a given government fiscal period.
  • Skills: Communication, Electronic Equipment, Electronic Systems

Responsibilities

  • Conducting PDS Design Reviews
  • Performing PDS Inspections of Navy Command Facilities
  • Reviewing Navy TEMPEST Requirements Questionnaires (TRQs)
  • Performing TEMPEST Inspections and Testing of Equipment
  • Working Collaboratively with Other Engineers, Technicians, and Government Personnel
  • Monitoring functional e-mail boxes for the group and facilitating communication with Navy commands and Govt SMEs
  • Uploading TEMPEST and PDS records to a sharepoint database
  • Helping communicate official correspondence to various Navy customers and commands
