About The Position

HireUp Talent is seeking a Prothestist/Orthotist position for an office in St. Petersburg, FL. This is a great role for candidates who want to work for an organization with a family feel, dedicated to taking care of patients in need. The Prosthetist must be able to manage comprehensive Prosthetic patient care including patient assessment, formulation of a treatment plan, implementation of the treatment plan, follow-up and practice management. Summary of Key Responsibilities: Prosthetic care shall include patient evaluation, prosthesis design, fabrication, fitting and modification to treat limb loss for purposes of restoring physiological functions and/or cosmesis. A Prosthetist must support and conform to professional responsibilities that promote and assure the overall welfare of the patient and the integrity of the profession. A Prosthetist must make themselves familiar with all company policies and procedures and must comply with them.

Requirements

  • A Prosthetist is an individual that has met all the educational and training requirements from an accredited institution.
  • Must be licensed in the State of Florida and/or state of work.
  • A Prosthetist is required to maintain ABC or BOC certification by completing education requirements and maintaining active certification.
  • Must have working understanding of the application of LCDs, can properly and ethically choose and justify appropriate L-codes, and be able to notate all patient visits in SOAP note format to support the treatment plan.
  • Must be able to communicate professionally with patients, vendors, personnel using excellent articulation and grammar proficiency.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently.
  • Valid state driver’s license required.
  • Employment contingent upon clear fingerprint and criminal history record.

  • OPIE knowledge preferred.
