The Prospect Research Associate will play a crucial role within the African Wildlife Foundation's (AWF) Development team, working under the supervision of the Prospect Research Manager. This position is designed for an individual who is passionate about supporting fundraising efforts through detailed research and analysis of current and prospective donors. The associate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and maintaining vital information that will assist the regional Donor Engagement Officers in making informed and strategic decisions regarding donor relationships. The associate's primary responsibilities will include identifying and reporting on various aspects of potential donors, such as their business and civic affiliations, wealth indicators, philanthropic interests, and foundation grant-making activities. This role requires the production and updating of both long and short prospect research profiles, as well as maintaining accurate prospect information in Raisers Edge, a key database used by the organization. By equipping the Development team with essential information, the Prospect Research Associate will help enhance donor engagement and optimize existing relationships, ultimately contributing to AWF's financial sustainability. In addition to research tasks, the associate will also engage in administrative duties, assist in campaign pipeline development, and participate in strategy sessions with fundraisers. This collaborative environment will allow the associate to contribute to the overall success of fundraising initiatives while honing their research and analytical skills in a meaningful way.
