About The Position

As a Rehabilitation Practitioner at BHSN, you will provide individual and group rehabilitation interventions designed to teach skills and offer support to adults with mental illness participating in the PROS as these recipients pursue their overall rehabilitation goal.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or higher preferred in the human services field
• 1 to 2 years’ experience in mental health or rehabilitation environment preferred
• CPR certification within one year of hire is required
• Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation for required travel
• Ability to engage individuals and motivate others to support goal-oriented changes

Responsibilities

• Provides services and interventions to promote mental health and substance use recovery
• Provides engaging interventions individually and in groups in an office setting and in the community
• Document various reports and notes within a timely manner in accordance with state/federal regulations and Agency policies and procedures
• Provides support to program recipients before or after program hours as requested
• Engages clients in a comprehensive assessment of strengths/needs
