Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer with a background in mechanical design of spacecraft components, precision testing equipment, tooling and fixtures. The role is within the propulsion team, and the ideal candidate has experience in mechanical spacecraft hardware from conception through flight qualification, with understanding of materials and processes, GD&T, and design to dynamic and thermal requirements. Favorable consideration given for experience developing components, assemblies, and mechanisms for operation in high-vacuum environments. Propulsion background is desired but not required, and the position offers opportunity for a strong candidate to join an exciting project in the field of spacecraft electric propulsion. This is a hands-on role for a highly collaborative individual that combines superb technical, and analytical capabilities to transition theoretical guidance and requirements into performant hardware optimized to be lightweight, cost effective and manufacturability.
