About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-focused Proposals Specialist to join our Fuel Handling sales team. In this role, you will play an integral part in understanding project needs, managing RFQs (Requests for Quotation), and preparing accurate proposals for customers. Your effective communication skills will be essential as you collaborate with both the sales team and customers to ensure their project requirements are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in proposal development or a similar role.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal management software; experience with CRM systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to clearly understand project specifications and requirements, ensuring all necessary information is gathered for accurate quoting.
  • Prepare, manage, and submit RFQs and bid packages in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with all guidelines and specifications.
  • Generate precise and competitive quotes based on project needs, market conditions, and company pricing structures, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Work closely with the sales team and other departments to gather insights, clarify project requirements, and align on customer expectations.
  • Maintain organized records of all proposals, quotes, and project documentation for future reference and audits.
  • Enter and track new opportunities in the CRM system, ensuring all relevant details are accurately documented for effective sales follow-up and reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in proposal development and quoting, contributing to increased efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Engage with customers to clarify project details, answer inquiries, and provide updates on proposal status, fostering strong relationships.
  • Monitor and report on proposal success rates and customer feedback to enhance future proposals and strategies.
