You will be responsible for driving the pursuit of new business opportunities and the retention of current clients in the National, Large Group, Public Sector and Labor markets through the completion of complex requests for proposal (RFPs) from prospects and clients, brokers and consulting houses. The leader also designs, implements and leads a detailed, disciplined process to gather competitive intelligence, determine proposal strategy, create proposal responses, review and document results, and present key insights on those results to senior leadership and the enterprise. Intelligence gathering includes obtaining and analyzing bids from competitors on previous RFPs, identifying the needs and wants of prospects, and assessing their satisfaction with their current health plan. Analysis includes identifying gaps in previous Blue Cross proposals where responses could be changed to the affirmative or improved.
