About The Position

Are you an experienced writer with an interest in creating effective proposals that secure business and promote growth? Would you like to work with a close-knit team that is driving company growth to new heights?
Off Duty Management is a privately-held, rapidly growing company that is the leader in providing white glove, comprehensive support to law enforcement agencies around the country. We manage and support off-duty programs for over 500 agencies, and are seeking a Proposal Writer to help us continue to grow our partner base at scale. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this is a full-time onsite role based in our Katy, TX corporate headquarters.
The ideal candidate brings experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and is passionate about continuously finding new ways to deliver creative messaging to potential customers through collaborative teamwork.
In this position, you will develop a strategic approach that appeals to our targeted audience with written content through persuasive, concise proposals.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and be flexible enough to adapt to shifts in priorities and deadlines.

Requirements

• 6+ months of content writing experience required
• Excellent time-management skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong English communication skills

• Critical thinker and problem-solver

Nice To Haves

• Prior proposal writing / development experience is ideal
• B2B, governmental agency, and/or law enforcement experience preferred
• Previous experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented capacity

Responsibilities

• Craft proposals and RFP responses yielding lead conversion and new client acquisition by compellingly conveying ODM’s unique value proposition and addressing agencies’ varying priorities and points of concern
• Ensure all written content meets company standards for accuracy, grammar, tone, and quality
• Thoroughly review RFP standards to understand requirements, objectives, and evaluation criteria
• Conduct in-depth research on agencies, competitors, and specific project details to tailor the proposal effectively
• Craft clear, concise, and persuasive content that addresses each section of the RFP and aligns with expectations
• Work closely with leadership and other internal teams to gather accurate information and ensure the proposal’s technical accuracy
• Manage time effectively to deliver high-quality proposals within the stipulated timeframe
• Adhere to internal policies and procedures
